What Signs Indicate That You Have A Mouse Problem

The fact that you have a luxurious home doesn’t mean that you are not susceptible to mice infestation. However, the earlier you discover a mice infestation, the better for you and your family. But discovering a mouse problem could be a bit difficult especially if you have never had such a problem before. Below are some of the signs that you have a mice infestation to deal with.

Droppings

This is the most common sign of a mice infestation. You are likely to discover droppings in the course of arranging or cleaning up your house. Mice droppings are quiet small, dark and seed-shaped. Fresh droppings are normally black and wet, while the older ones have a lighter gray color. Most likely, you will find the droppings in your kitchen or in any other place where there are food supplies.
Scratching

You may hear some scratching sounds coming from the walls especially during the night. The scratching sound may indicate presence of mice.

Some strange openings

Mice will use even the smallest openings just to have access to your house. If you notice some holes in your foundation or drainage system, it is most likely that you have a mouse problem that need to be addressed. Mice usually use the same openings most of the time. Therefore, you are likely to find a trail of fur along the openings where mice are using to get in and out.

Mouse nest

Coming across a mouse nest is not something unusual especially if you have been having a mice infestation without your contest. This clearly shows that mice have been around for quite a long time such that they have started breeding. In most cases, you will discover a mouse nest where there is a concentration of droppings or in the corners of your closets and cabinets.
